Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret group.
The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma."
